Windows 7 Upgrade freezed during installation

I have purchased Windows 7 [the student discount upgrade]. I also downloaded the Upgrade Advisor just to make sure that i have met the recommended configurations so that i don't screw my machine. I did a backup of my personal data to an external flash drive. I started the Upgrade and it was going on pretty smooth. And then suddenly at it freezed at 67%, the installation stage show at that time was Transfering files, settings...etc, I let it take its time, but it stayed there for 4 hours. Then i was force to reboot. After reboot the machine went into reboot loop and wont start, not even in safe mode, please help!

You need to contact Microsoft about the save, may be they could tell you what wrong with your Upgrade. Also this problem has been common with the student's upgrade discounted copies of Windows 7 Upgrade. I think microsoft haven't corrected some bugs that still exists in the upgrade copies. Also run a diagnostic test on the primary hard disk and see what error do you get. If you are clean, try installing Windows 7 again...
