Popups : New Updates Available, even though none

Hi, I am in Problem. I had installed windows 7 on my computer a month ago and don't get any type of error till yet. But, from two days I am getting problem which is quiet confusing to me. Windows Update Tray Notification Icon displays in the taskbar stating "New updates are available". Though it is not a problem, but when I run the Windows Update utility, it come to know that there are no updates available. Even I tried for the windows update, but there are not updates available. And the tray icon also remains as it is. So, is it bug from Windows 7 or something? Please help me to solve this problem.

Hi, the problem you are getting about the updates which gives you pop ups that new updates available is suppose to be the virus or something and I think that this is running on your computer and when it activate itself it gives you that pop up and starts new program to again activate. If you have internet, then download Avast Home Edition setup and then by scanning your computer by using that antivirus will solve your problem. So, download avast home edition and then update it. And then scan your computer, so it will clean your computer and you will able to get rid of that popup.

Re: Popups : New Updates Available, even though none

Hi, the problem you are getting is either the infection of the virus or there may be some or the other setting from your internet explorer has been changed. I think you need to scan your whole computer with the antivirus software such as Avast Home Edition or Mcafee antivirus. So, just download one of this from their respected sites and then install it to your computer and then update it. And then scan your whole computer to solve your problem. If your problem has not solved with this then It may some setting from your Internet Explorer has been changed, so just change that setting again to previous one and solve your problem.
