how do I get CPU History Graph to show 2 cores

I have an Asus A8N32-SLI Delux with a dual core opty 180. the system is a few years old. I have recently re-formatted. The system sees both cores in the devise manager but and I can't remember how we got the task manager cpu history graph to recognize both cores. I seem to remember I had done it through regedit but I may be wrong, like I said it was a while ago.

    Tried them jesse, no help.
    Found something on hardware.com.

Replace the following files in dos:
    HAL.DLL with halmacpi.dll
    ntoskrnl.exe with ntkrnlmp.exe
    ntkrnlpa.exe with ntkrpamp.exe

It says to do this in safe mode but I'm a bull in a china shop when it comse to dos. :[
