How To Stop Using Pen Drive In Computers

Hi, friends in my office I have 10 computers and need to block the usb devices such as pen drives and external hard drives etc. So, can anyone help me to do this? I want something by use of which I can use all this if I want it in emergency. Can it be possible? If yes then please give me reply as soon as possible. It's an urgent. Thank you in advance. Hi, it is simple. You can block those devices by manually disabling each one of the USB device from the Device Manager of each of that PC. You need to just disable that, then if anyone try to attach any usb device then that will not work. So, try out this. If you want to use any usb device in emergency then you just need to enable that device from the Device Manager. So, just try this simple thing. It will provide you better solution.

Hi, you can do following things to block your usb ports.

1. Goto Start/Run.
2. Type regedit.
3. Expand
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control
4. By Right Clicking and creating new key as “StorageDevice”.
5. In the window on the right then create a new DWORD value and label it "WriteProtection".
6. Set value of “1" and USB drives wont work. (To re-enable this option set the value to 0 and users are again allowed to write.)
7. To set that modifications you just restart you computer.

Hi, I have simple solution for you. Just open your notepad and Paste This Code

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control StorageDevicePolicies]
"WriteProtect"=dword:00000001

Now save it as "stop USB Devices On XP.reg" and then just run It.

Your problem has been solved.
