Command Prompt does not open

Hi,

I have a xp pc. Command Prompt does not open anymore. Today when I tried opening command prompt from start->run->cmd->cd\ and I select a folder of any drive it gives error invalid directory. What should be the problem ???

To open Command Prompt, try this :

1. Click the shortcut on the start menu and "open" or "Run as Administrator"
2. Type "cmd" into the search box the start menu.

System File Check by doing this:
- Click Start / Run
- Type sfc.exe /scannow {OK}

I think, you have some virus problem. Try SpywareBlaster, it hepls to remove Spyware, adware, browser hijackers, and dialers. By simply browsing a web page, you could find your computer to be the brand-new host of one of these unwanted fiends.

Your path statement has been damaged. Right-click My Computer, Properties, Advanced, Environment Variables. Select PATH in the system varibles window and insert the following text in front of anything there. OK your way out and see if that does not get you going.
