Image editors for Mac OS X

hi
i have recently acquired a digital camera and i want to make a photo album on the web? so i want to improve the outcome of some pics , printing photo can be more pleasant also want to add special effects? can any one tell me such application rather than photoshop for mac ?

GIMP is best option , GIMP is a very complete and very efficient processing and retouching photographs. Many consider this software as the equivalent of "Adobe Photoshop CS" which is saying something. And it is true that "Gimp" has many strengths and merits a visit. download GIMP here
