Windows xp blue screen after windows update

Hello yesterday i updated my desktop pc. and this morning when i tried to boot it, i got the blue screen. here is what is says:

NVATA.SYS would imply you have an nVidia-based system board with an nVidia IDE/SATA controller. If you can get it to boot up at all, I would recommend going to nVidia.com and downloading / installing the latest nForce driver for your chipset. If you can't boot normally, but CAN get into Safe Mode, you could try uninstalling the nForce drivers as that should revert the system back to the Microsoft Standard controller driver. This should allow you to boot normally so as to get out to the internet to download / install the latest driver from nVidia.
