problem in trying the CD of mandriva ONE 2009.1 KDE4.1 on intel pc

i have mandriva one 2009.1 kde 4.1 on CD and i want to try it on my friends PC(Intel motherboard,2 GB ram,core 2 duo processor)..i kept the cd in drive and restarted.first appearance is nice but when the option "choose your language" mouse and keyboard are not working...what can i do...
i tried it in another system which is i686..only terminal is coming...
please help me...
i can assure that there is no problem in downloading the .iso image and burning it on CD....

What kind of connections does the keyboard mouse use? If its a USB, check if in BIOS USB keyboard/Mouse is not set to disabled. Also see if the same CD works with some other machine...
