There is a command line utility to change permissions know as chmod. You can use it as follows :
Also you can be the owner of the folder by typing this :Code:sudo chmod +rwx foldername
after typing the command you will be asked for admin password, enter it to perform action. in the above command + means to give permission you can use - to remove permission, r - read, w - write, x - execute.Code:sudo chown foldername
I will have to type the commands again and again, any simple way to do it? Is there any software which can be used to perform this functions? There are lot of folders which are needed by me and to change permissions for each folder from command prompt will take a lot of time. Please help...
Try BatChmod : BatChmod is a Cocoa utility for manipulating file and folder privileges in Mac OS X (10.5 recommended). It allows the manipulation of ownership as well as the privileges associated to the Owner, Group or others. It is available for download here.
