Can anyone tell me what is BitLocker drive? I have very little information about it, want to need some more information, and what is the System requirement to install or running it.

BitLocker Drive Encryption is available on some versions of Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 R2 and in some editions of Windows 7. BitLocker encrypts the entire drive. All the Windows system files necessary for startup and logon are also encrypted. Bitlocker and Bitlocker To Go are exclusive features of Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows 7 Enterprise. All other Windows 7 editions do not include that feature. Using BitLocker Drive Encryption is one of the best ways to protect portable systems such as laptops from loss of data and information when the laptops themselves are lost or stolen.
Bitlocker can be used to encrypt partitions or drives that are connected to the computer system so that their data can only be accessed after supplying the password that can decrypt the data. Additionally, the use of BitLocker on desktop systems is also a good consideration when you consider how much information can be lost from recycled desktop systems that have not undergone a proper hard drive wipe routine before being sold off. The main difficulty of working with Bitlocker is its limited reach.
System requirements for BitLocker Drive Encryption
To use BitLocker Drive Encryption, your computer has to meet certain hardware requirements. BitLocker uses TPM to validate the integrity of a system by performing a check of the boot components and boot configuration data. To encrypt the drive that Windows is installed on (the operating system drive), BitLocker stores its own encryption and decryption key in a hardware device that is separate from your hard disk i.e. either Trusted Platform Module (TPM) or a removable USB Flash Drive.
