What problem are you excatly facing? What type of network you have? Do you have a router? IF you have a router, connect your internet from the router and let it handle everyting else. Please detail your problem, so that someone could help you in a better way...
I have a computer with Ubuntu with two lan cards. I have setup a dhcp server for eth0 and other computers are connected to eth0 from a network switch. Internet connection is on my ubuntu computer through eth1. I want to share this internet to everyone on my home network. How do i do it? I did all the possible stuffs. I recently noticed that all the computers can ping to any website on the internet but cannot ping to the web site's domain name, can browse the site if the ip address is typed in the address field. Whats wrong? I checked host files of my client Windows XP machine, everything seems to be fine there... Any other way? Please help!
If its not about the host file, then its the DNS issue, Ok try this out : Go to the ubuntu server and note down the DNS address and in all the Windows machine, specify the DNS address, this may get your internet working...
