Failed to retrieve epglistings in Vista MCE

My Vista Center MCE is giving a error related to the TV Guide information. The media center is not able to update the epglisting file. The process of the file download remains in incomplete. After reading the the event view I found this error - Failed to retrieve EpgListings (Error: Internal server error. Please contact service provider.)(3704.1114). This comes again and again. Now my TV cannot map channels. Any solutions really appreciated.

Microsoft has released a TV pack update for the same. You can download the update from the below link and then run it. The update fixes multiple mce errors. It fixes Media center crash after a TV Tuner card replace, guide data errors, recording errors, multiple recording problem and the schedule recording is deleted. Download the pack from now and then restart your MCE.

The problem of the cause is your Media Center is trying to download the listing of data which is no longer available. Due to this the error comes. There is way by which you can resolve the issue. First delete the TV guide and add the channel back again. It is a acceptable solution. Anyhow you will have to add the channels manually to resolve the problem.

The problem can be solved by upgrading the time in your pc. Try to do this first. Just set the time to current. This will make your invalid SSL certificate valid. Other wise then you will have to download the entire guide back again. In your Media center pc get the entire guide and run the set up process. This will remove the errors and system flaws. Run a windows update.
