I have installed window vista on my mac partition via Boot Camp and now i want to delete that partition and restore space to my Mac hard drive.
Open the the Boot Camp Assistant from Applications > Utilities > Boot Camp Assistant. First it will open the introduction windows click on that window to continue.Select Create or remove a Windows partition and then click Continue. Then you need to select Restore button , it will remove Windows partition. You’ll be prompted to enter your password - do so and then click OK.The Boot Camp Assistant will start partitioning… and then you’ll be back to a single OS X volume.
Run the bootcamp setup assistant again and select the option to return the the drive to a singe volume. Make sure you have a backup before you start and quit any other running programs.
To remove Boot Camp partition(windows) you need to select Create or remove a Windows partition option from Boot Camp Assistant. When you delete that partition it doesn't delete data, it only delete partition mapping which points to the drive.
