microsoft security hotfix q931906 missing

I have installed Windows XP on my pc and use automatic updates to get all the priority updates. Just then I saw this software called Belarc adviser and downloded and installed it and after running it I was able to see some reports which is listed here:
Missing Microsoft Security Hotfixes
These required security hotfixes (using the 06/12/2007 Microsoft Security Bulletin Summary) were not found installed. Note: CIS benchmarks require that Critical and Important severity security hotfixes must be installed. Q931906 - Critical (details...)

So I went to the microsoft update website and it said that there was no critical updates for download for me. So can anyone tell me why am I getting this error microsoft security hotfix q931906 missing? Thank you

I think that the missing Hotfixes are of Office products or Non-critical security fixes? Running Windows Update will tell you if you are missing any critical or non-critical updates on your machine.You could go to the M$ site and check the list of updates and compare to the ones you feel you might be missing and verify if they would have even been needed on your system by how it is equipped. But the update engine at M$ Windows Update will know whether you are missing an update or not.

I have also had that problem and I think that this is a Belarc problem (probably a fix in the next update). I remember the last time I got Vista Updates, WU told me that 2 recommended updates were "not needed" after downloading and installing and now Belarc says I'm missing 2 as well.

You can again try to run automatic update or open windows update website. Ideally via windows updates service packs contain multiple updates and overwrite or condense older updates to take up less space so you may not actually be missing any at all if that is the case.

I too have Belarc Advisorand it has also said security hotfix Q931906 is missing. I cannot find it on the Microsoft website

I have also Belarc Advisor and it also told me that critical microsoft Security hotfix Q931906 was missing. In addition it told me two important (as opposed to critical) updates were not installed (Q969604 & Q969613). I went to the Microsoft web site and could not find any of them. It is good to know that somebody else has had the same problem. I do not intend to do anything else except maybe go to the Belarc site and see if there is anything there.
