    Net stop spooler

    Hello, I have a hp printer, I use the net stop spooler command to stop the stuck jobs in printer spooler queue, previously i was doing it with the reboot method. I want to know is it safe to use this command again and again? does it cause any bad affect on the printer? Hope you got what i'm asking? please let me know if there is any alternative method is exist. Thanks lot.

    No , there is no harm in using both of the commands mentioned below:

    net stop spooler
    net start spooler
    • net stop spooler - To stop the printer spooler queue.
    • net start spooler - This command will "restart" it.

    No it is the safest way to start or stop the printer spooler from a command line.

    To Stop the spooler service.

    • Go to command prompt Start --> Run --> CMD
    • Type Net stop "print spooler" and wait for it to stop


    Restart the spooler service.

    • Go to command prompt Start --> Run --> CMD
    • To Restart type Net start "print spooler"
