I am running Ubuntu and i want to use Parallels in Ubuntu. What is the procedure to set up Parallels in Ubuntu. I have tried to setup Parallels but it asks to select the option in wizard for operating system.

Parallels for Ubuntu Wizard will launch automatically When you select New VM > Click Next after reviewing the first screen > Select Create a custom VM configuration and click Next > Parallels Workstation enables each virtual machine to operate similarly to a physical computer >the wizard will display three option typical vm, blank vm and custom vm. Select Linux as the Guest OS Type:, and then Other Linux kernel 2.6 as the Guest OS Version:. Click Next to continue > click Next to continue > Select Create a new virtual hard disk and then click Next >select Expanding option > click next > Click YES if prompted > Select Bridged Ethernet and then click Next > click Finish.
Go to Applications—>System Tools—> Parallels welcome screen > Creating New Virtual machine > In screen click Next> Virtual machine configuration select “Create a Typical VM (recommended)” click Next > Select Linux as the Guest OS Type:, and then Other Linux kernel 2.6 as the Guest OS Version > Click Next to continue. > Virtual Machine Name and Location click Finish >Enter the activation Key we have got when we register with parallels click activate > Now you can start installing your guest OS Vista,Linux.
