    Problem with ifcfg-eth0 in Fedora

    I have a Problem with ifcfg-eth0 in Fedora. I want to configure two ip addresses to a lan card, how do i do it? I know how to do it on windows box, but i don't know how to do it on fedora... I don't know if that is possible to do it on fedora.. So please any one can help me with it? Thanks!

    I don't think that is possible in fedora as far as i know. I'm new too linux but still according to what i understand, every interface is treated as a file in Linux and so there can't be two files of same name... But not sure... Lets wait for expert's comments...

    I know that is possible. I had seen this stuff at a friends place, but i don't remember how exactly he did it... So i thought i could find some help here. Well if any one knows how to do it, please post... Thanks in advance...

    You can configure two IP Address on the single eth0 interface by creating two virtual ethernet interfaces on one :
    eth0:0
    eth0:1
    Same as you do it on routers...

    Configure the first IP on eth0:0 and second on eth0:1 the same way assuming that you are assigning it to different intefaces...
