The first thing you have to know what version of Windows XP disc you are using. Is the version of RTM, SP1, SP2 or SP3? Sounds like this issue arised because of a PCIe issue which need installation using a SP2 or later slipstreamed disc. In case your XP disc is an earlier version then slipstream the latest service pack and then try the installation. After changed the version of the install CD, you should see that now it’s running properly.

Shift all third-party driver files from the %Windir%\System32\Drivers folder to a different location. Follow these steps to move the third-party driver files Use the Recovery Console to start the computer, or start the computer from a different installation of Windows if you have performed a parallel Windows installation.make a temporary folder to hold the driver files.Shift all files that do not have a creation date for Windows XP of 8/13/2001 from the %Windir%\System32\Drivers folder into the temporary folder that you created in Caution If the computer relies on third-party IDE or SCSI controller drivers for correct operation, you must identify those driver files and then leave them. Restart the computer. Continue the Windows Setup program. You can add the driver files back to the computer one at a time to identify the faulty driver.

I know it is specifically a display driver error. It probably didn’t recognize your new onboard graphics card but no way to install the driver unless you finish the whole installation. I would suggest you to install using SP2.If is not a good option for you better slipstream XP installation disc,.An XP Slipstream installation disc is actually an xp sp1 with sp2 pre-installed on a newly burned disc.hope this help
