MCI command handling window error

When i start or shutdown my computer i get the following error: "MCI command handling window" It comes up sometimes when i m using any software or particular windows programs. Anyone have any idea about it? And how can i stop it?

That problem is most-likely caused by old security software.
You need to go to control panel > add or remove programs > then remove the old firewalls/virus protection software.
Get ONLY one program [AVG, McAfee, Norton, Avast Home [free]]

You may need to update the drivers for the sound card. There is Microsoft's KB document regarding The MCI_PLAY Command Returns No Response for Five or More Seconds.

Your computer may be infected with viruses or adware or spyware. Try using different antivirus and run full system scan. Update your current antivirus to latest. There are may anti-adware and anti-spyware applications available on internet. So run these application. Good luck!

There are may programs scheduled in startup and shut down process. Follow the steps given below to stop such programs:

• Right click on My Computer
• Click on Properties
• Go to Advanced tab
• Click Settings under Startup and Recovery
• Then uncheck the "Automatic Restart" box
• Click OK
