967715 update keeps reinstalling

I have a Windows Media center pc running fine. Now, everytime if I want to restart the pc it tells us to install this kb967715 update. I have almost installed and removed this update 10 times till yet, but the problem arrises after every reboot. So can any one help me how to stop 967715 update reinstallation once and for all.

Have you tried installing the update in safe mode?

If not then go to the MS site and do it alone:

This is how to hide KB967715 once it has been installed and verified in your list of add/remove programs.

Within Vista Update, to hide an update...
1. Click View available updates
2. Right-click on the update you wish to hide
3. Click Hide Update
4. Confirm the UAC if needed

Windows XP
To hide an update, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, point to All Programs, and then click either Windows Update or Microsoft
Update.
2. Click Custom.
3. Click to clear the check box that is next to the update that you want to hide.
4. Expand the update that you want to hide, and then click the "Don't show this update
again" check box.
5. Click Review and install updates.

This is caused by:
This issue may occur if the shell32.dll has not been replaced successfully while installing KB967715. Since KB950852 includes the latest version of shell32.dll, we can remove KB950852 and then install KB950852 to get this issue resolved.

Solution:
Step 1: Remove KB967715 via Add or Remove programs
Step 2: Manually download and install KB950582
