Hello friends. I am not too expert when it comes to computers. I have just started experimenting and found out that Linux Operating Systems are much faster and have more capabilities compared to Windows. I want to experiment with it. Can anyone tell me how to install linux?

For a beginner, i would recommend, not to install any Linux Operating System on your computer. Just download the linux which you like and burn it to the disc. Try it out. All the distro have a live CD, which you can try it first. Ofcourse the speed of the Linux Distro on the live cd usage will be very slow, but its eay to see which one suites you the best... Also follow the above guide, it will really help you...

If i were at your place, i would download the best three linux and then give it a try. But, now that i am familiar with linux, i would recommend you to go with Ubuntu. No Operating system is as easy as Ubuntu. Once you get used to, you can try any OS. Also if you think linux may not suite you, you can always install the OS in a Virtual PC software like : VirtualBox, VMware and Microsoft's Virtual PC.
