What is nmsrvc.exe?
Hi there,
I have windows XP installed on my desktop. There is one process running on the background called nmsrvc.exe. I found it in task manager. What is it? Anyone have any idea?

Your computer may be infected with viruses or adware. Install some good antivirus and run system scan to remove such infections. Also run anti-adware application for more safety. There are plenty of free antivirus programs available on the internet.

nmsrvc.exe is Network Magic home network management service. It is normal file and part of computer program. It is program of your Network Magic software which enables file sharing, printer sharing, and network monitoring. Network Magic will not work if this service is not running.

If you have Network Magic program installed on your computer, then it is important process to run the program. So it is recommended to run the process. You can disable it by following steps:
- Click on Start
- Then click Run
- Type cmd and click OK
- In DOS window, type net stop nmservice
- Press Enter
