    remove name of older os 4m boot screen

    i have installed 2 xp in 2 seprate drives , now unstalled one but on boot screen the name comes of both os...
    how to remove name of older os.....

    Ok. I had this same situation several times and I DID got out of it. So all you got to do is go to the boot.ini file (if its windows) in C:\ and remove the older entry leaving the current OS as it is! Next time it won't show the "option" or "choice" of OS when the computer starts....

    To remove boot screen, Click Start > Run and type MSCONFIG in the run dialog box to launch the System Configuration Utility. On the BOOT.INI tab, check the box next to /NOGUIBOOT and click OK. The next time you reboot your computer, you'll see the BIOS screen and then nothing until Windows loads completely.
