How to view workgroup in Vista

We have number of workgroup in our office, I wanted to share some file and folders over the Network connection and for that wanted to see particular workgroup but when I click on Networks, it just shows my current workgroup. With the lot of efforts in 2K/XP, I could click on something to view the entire network, allowing me to click on other workgroups and domains. How do I enable this in Vista?

When you open the network connection, in the right pane of the Network, you should have Name, Category, Workgroup, Network Location. There all your available workgroup should be displayed. The Workgroup is the place for select the domain or workgroup. I can connect to the other systems fine via IP or directly typing in their name, but I can't list their workgroup/domains.

You may also try following the cmd command.

Go to Start, select Run,type CMD to open a command prompt:

    Type the following commands:

    nbtstat -n

    IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.If you are on a machine with no network connection, use may make use of USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

Every computer resides on a network. The computer is a member of a workgroup. There are possibilities whether the firewall are enabled on the other network then you are not allow to see the other workgroup, Either no firewall is enabled or no firewall is installed on the computer. The computer can ping other computers in the same workgroup. Also, other computers in the same workgroup can ping this computer. NetBIOS over TCP/IP functionality is enabled.
