    Invalid drive specification dos

    i am looking to update BIOS so i try to boot from DOS with but when I try to copy files to the C: drive I get the error message "invalid drive specification".i am unable to see portion also what is the problem ? can some one help me ?

    have you configure your bios ? just enter in your bios setup Delete key or F2 according to your motherboard. select Auto Detection for IDE Drives,also enter see if it finds the drive. Save & Exit and try what you looking for.

    your C drive must be in NTFS format that is the reason for Invalid drive specification dos can read fat format so change the format of drive .You can use partition manager to convert your partition .
