Determine SQL license information

Is there a possibility that we can get the licensing information about the installed SQL server 2005. Information like the validity of the license and type of the license, etc. I want this license information because I wanted to install the SQL on another server. Please give some suggestion.

I don't think software license information is available through software installation.

All server available information can be seen by executing:

sp_server_info

I dont know exactly about the SQL servers but I think you will get it in the Control Panel under SQL Server 2005 Licensing Setup.

The license is likely stored with the CD, so if you don't have the CD, it is likely that you don't have a legal license, or the old database may be the free MSDE SQL Server database.
