AMD Phenom VS Opteron

I just want to know is that will Opteron runs best applications in desktop over a Phenom or it is not useful at all .

For game performance it will be effective ,, Phenom is best for its multitasking .

Opterons are better in optimizing the workstation loads and they are more efficiently.they are good at withstand higher heat levels in the desktop processors to gain more prolonged periods of time


As Solomon said that will be good for gaming ,, it will be good for media and more stuff like that . it is built for every man

I think you should go with Phenom, because it will be cheaper and there will be no power boost in the performance if you go with Opterons

If you are a overclocking freak then you should go for Opterons. but the performance you will get will be minimal to none.

There will be a little different in AM2+ opterons. its just that there will be difference in you range

The opterons built with quality silcon and the like much allow them to be reliable in overclocking or stress .. personally, i think there is hardly price difference for average user
