Need to install Adobe AIR in Ubuntu

I am using linux based Ubuntu operating system. I want to install Adobe AIR on my computer. But as you might be knowing,installing new applications on a Linux distribution is always a mystery for newbies. So need your help in installing Adobe AIR. Please make me know how can i install it on my PC?

Adobe AIR offers an exciting new way to engage customers with innovative, branded applications, without requiring changes to existing technology, people, or processes.In order to install it on your Ubuntu computer, first of all download Adobe AIR if you don't have it till yet.

1. Once you downloaded save it to any specific place on your computer and name it AdobeAIRInstaller.bin.

2. Now go to properties by right clicking the application and navigate to Permissions tab in the dialog box.

3. Once you are at the permission tab, check mark the Allow executing file as program option.

4. Now navigate to the folder where you had saved this file in the terminal and enter this command: sudo ./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin. Now a screen appears with GUI installer of Adobe AIR that gets launched.

5. The normal installer will open, install it. From now whenever you download a .air file, just double click it and it will be installed.

You can try tihs as well:-

• Open the Terminal
  
  
• Download and save the file with name of the file is AdobeAIRInstaller.bin in the Home folder
  
  
• Run this command:
  
  chmod +x AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
  
  
  
• Now run this command:
  sudo ./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
  
  
• Now followthe installation process

Before installing Adobe AIR, make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements for the same.:-

• Intel® Pentium® III 1GHz or faster processor, 512MB of RAM
  
  
• Recommended: Pentium 4 2GHZ or faster, 1GB RAM
  
  
• Fedora 8, Ubuntu 7.10, openSUSE 10.3
