Blue Screen of Death during startup, Windows XP, PLEASE HELP

everytime i boot windows i get the BSOD as soon as explorer starts. It says:

    ****DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

I am given a STOP error message of:

    **** STOP: 0X000000D1 ( 0x10014fd4, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x86247255)

I cant find anything to help me figure out what 0x86247255 is and I was wondering if anyone knows what is causing the blue screen and how to fix it. any comment are greatly appreciated. Thanx

Re: Blue Screen of Death during startup, Windows XP, PLEASE HELP

Basically, the main cause of getting the blue screen of death in your Windows XP are the Stop Codes. The Stop Codes occurs when your computer has run some corrupt or incomplete file, or something it doesn't recognize. Well, you can follow the above links mentioned by Solomon to get the solution out of this.

This error message relates to Ram in most cases and in other cases it relates to the hardware, its connection into the comp or a plug thats not seated firmly. Be sure everything is seated in the sockets and check out the RAM if you have had an upgrade.

    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

This is a driver issue. Basically it means that you installed a new driver that is now working correctly or you need to update your drivers.

You can go to the manufactures site or you can get Driver Robot to do it automatically for you.

    Good Luck
