Need to restore the deleted partition

Hello, ia m a windows Xp user and i need some urgent help from you all guys.. I accidentally deleted the boot partition by mistake from my computer. It was having many much important datas and many things which i really need. I need to get back the partition. Is there any way i can do that ? Please help me friends.

Don't worry. it is possible to restore the partition back, but you might be careful while deleting any partition. To restore the deleted partition you need a program called TestDisk. Its a freeware and a powerful data recovery tool. It is designed for the same problem that you have faced, that is to recover deleted partition. You can even use this app for making non-booting disks bootable again and the most interesting thing is you can run it from even a Floppy / CD or even from a Pendrive or USB drive. A really useful technique needed particularly in this kind of situation.

Once get downloaded and installed Testdisk, you can confirm the action with Enter key, and to navigate you need the arrow keys. After the search has been started, TestDisk will show the information as Cyclinders, Heads and Sectors in the size of MB. Remember that the first character is very crucial, like

"*" represent primary and active as boot partition

"P" represent Primary but not bootable

" L " represent the logical Drive

" D " denotes that the partition has been deleted.

So what you have to do is select the deleted partition and place it on " P " and save with " Write ". Thats it... You got back your deleted partition.
