How to disable Obnoxious HP driver UAC popup

Hi i am using HP printer on my Vista operating system since last 2 months. I am really got fed up of a popup HP Driver UAC Popup Update Check. It comes every day or 2. I tried much to make it disable but i can't.

Is there any sure way to disable it ? Please help, its much annoying.

Well, you can disable it with some simple steps, just follow this:-

1. You will have to run the configuration tool from within the directory.Go to the directory: C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\Product Assistant\bin

2. Once you get into this directory, launch hprbui.exe, which is the Hewlett-Packard Product Assistant UI.

3. Now click on the Preferences link on the left-hand pane.

4. Under the Basic Settings section you'll want to click on "Disable Solution Updates", and then click on the Save button.

5. You should get the dialog saying that your preferences have been saved.

6. Press ok.

7. Now open up HP Solution Center, and then at the bottom of the window click on the Settings button.

8. Now in the Other Settings box, hover your mouse over Other and then choose Update Preferences from the menu.

9. Now you can uncheck the box for "Enable help Contents updates automatically".

Thanks for the tip. I am running as the "hidden" administrator accout that has vista UAC turned off by default. But these updates had been driving me nuts since they always failed.
