    Importing movies to iMovie

    Hello

I made some taken with this WE TOSHIBA Camileo HD, HD
    Flux: CLIP0001.AVI
    Path: ~ / Desktop/DCIM/200MOVIE/CLIP0001.AVI

    Length: 0:00:52
    Data size: 26.69 MB
    Flow: 4.25 Mbps

    Video tracks:
    ?, 1280 × 720, 30fps, 4.16 Mbps

    Audio tracks:
MS ADPCM mono, 22.05 kHz, 89 kbps

    Files flux:
    CLIP0001.AVI (26.69 MB)

I want to incorporate these videos into iMovie to make me a video.
I can not play with Quicktime videos, for against VLC comes without problems. When I want to integrate them into iMovie, they are grayed out, so no selection is possible.

I tried converting my file with MPEG StreamClip. it converted the video, but sound. No image.

Well, after looking a big long time, I come to you, hoping you can help me.

    Thank you.

It is surprising that iMovie does not recognize the format. Avi home because there is no problem! How do you do for the import?

    File>> Import Movies
I choose the place and the files are greyed out.
If I could insert a screenshot, it would be more visible ...
But lazy to send it, unless really necessary.

Installs in addition to the Periana module reading Flip4Mac to play the audio track and you can import it into iMovie HD v. 6. I just test .
Note that the software is compatible with QuickTime and iMovie

    Re: Importing movies to iMovie

For my part, I import the clip into iMovie HD v. 6 via the "Import ..." "File" menu with the modules and Periana Flip4Mac to play the clip in QuickTime Player (H.264/AAC in an AVI container). There are probably equivalent to the more recent versions of iMovie ...

Two questions ... Can you copy the video clips on the hard disk first, or you try to import directly after connecting the camcorder? This may be the problem .
On the other hand, my QuickTime Player reads smoothly your clip with the latest version of Flip4Mac and Periana. Is this the case for you?
