Hi
Did you look at the packages on an official repo, or just pulled into the system so thrashed?
Were the old Office packages previously in the system?
Are you using KDE?
Hi,
I use gnome, I have installed it from the homepage of OpenOffice and installed in accordance with their instructions.
Meanwhile I installed FreeMind (packet installer), which is somewhere and I do not know how I can call it.
The repo I am not yet. where would be a better source than oppenoffice.org?
To add this launcher to your system menu you must right click applications than go to edit menu, go down to office, than click add. In command use this /opt/openoffice.org3/program/soffice, then make a name and comment then start it. This gave me a separate item that I named Office 3 that appeared as a menu item at the bottom of the menu items but outside of the Office menu. See also : How to: Install OpenOffice.org 3.0.1
Hi,
Try Start with
/ . . ./OpenOffice-dir/program/scalc
That is a shell-script.
Not with office -calc
it works on Ubuntu 6.06 LTS.
