    To whom it may concern.
I too was just infected with something called "Application.NirCmd" in my registry. Its listed as 12 infection on the Spyware Doctor's result page. I have ran several full scans in normal and safe mode with networking. With no luck.
Does anybody have any new info about this file? Is it spyware or just harmless? I think its screwing around with some of my settings for I.E. 6. like security and privacy settings. Maybe someone can point me to some 3rd party software that will kill this file for me
    I was infected on July 17th 2009.
    Thank you,

Did you happen to use Erunt to take backup or do something with the registry?( maybe some registry clearner or so??????)

Also at any time in the recent past have you used Smitfraudfix?

I am not blaming any one but Spyware doctor has shown up a huge list of applications as malicious many many times... There have been false positives all the time with this application.

    Re: How to remove Application.NirCmd

NirCmd is a threat to a system. It comes in the category of Trojan. But the harm is minimal to system. It is a collection of third party application which are packed in a single executable file. The best option to remove is to use Spyware Doctor. But you can ignore it. Otherwise run a search process in Windows and look for NirCmd file. You can do this by Start > Search. If you locate the file then delete it.

    Re: How to remove Application.NirCmd

Application.NirCmd is a collection of third party tools packed in one executable that can be used to remove threats in an infected machine. However it can also be used by users with malicious intent to do a different activity.
