    64 bit help!

    Hi, I recently purchased a Dell with a 64 bit processor. I am having problems doing some things that require Flash. I keep getting an error that flash isn't compatable with 64 bit processors. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? This really SUCKS!

    It involves editing the registry, Click Start, Run and type Regedit (If Regedit won't run type cmd then press OK. Then in the Command Prompt window type the following three lines pressing the enter key after each.

    cd\windows
    copy regedit.exe regedit.com
    regedit.com

    NOTE:- (The above lines are unnecessary if the registry editor is opened)

    Navigate to and select the following key:HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command. Double-click the (Default) value in the right pane. Delete the current value data, and then type: "%1" %* (everything bolded). Exit the Registry Editor and restart Windows.

    i think you shoul launch launch the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer... (there are two versions installed... a 32-bit one, and a 64-bit one)
    It's normally on the Start Menu (All Programs)... it should show both

    * Internet Explorer
    * Internet Explorer (64 bit)

    I just edited the shortcut in the quick launch to point to the 32-bit version

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"

    There might be some problem while installing Flash.
    TRY uninstalling and then reinstalling Adobe Flash Player again.....

    Do this -
    Go to Start > then Programs > Look for Internet explorer.
    You should have two options. Click on the one that doesn't say 64. That should enable your 32 bit browser. Then go to Adobe and download Flash.

    This should surely work....
