    Increasing drive size without formatting

I have a problem. My C drive where Windows is located is to be going full. Of what I really do not have stored. Have tried to run several spyware and anti-virus programs. There is only Vista and the programs I need. There are only 3 GB of space left vacant.

My hardisk is divided into 3 partitions. C drive at 80GB, D and E at each 250GB. Both D and E have lots of free space. Someone who knows a way I can transfer some of the free space to C without destroying anything?

Vistas own partitions manager is excellent for this. Right-click Computer and select manage, select disc management in storage. The rest should give themselves.

Right-click the C drive, Properties, Disk Cleanup. That will probably release a lot of space.
Otherwise, move the document folder to another drive (right click on Documents, Properties, Location).

Not possible to enlarge the C drive without losing data. It says itself that it will not "break anything" data, so without a format c: there is NOT an option.

Will also advise you to a 3.party program like Partion Magic. Does not recognize the limitations it has when I have not used it in an eternity.

    Partition Magic 8.0 does not appear under Vista / server2008 / Win7
Acronis HD manager does appear to Vista, etc.

Who says the it is not possible without format? Vista Disk manager can easily resize partitions without losing data.

Edit: And 3rd party Disk manager for vista is often just the second front end than to Vista's built-in partitioning method.
