Sound crackles in Windows 7

Hey guys!
I have recently installed Windows 7 x86. In the device manager i found that all the drivers where installed automatically. But my sound crackles whenever a music is played. Be it any sound. Like if i play a game, the game sound will crack. If i play a music file or video file that cracks too...! Can anyone help me??

Can you mention what sound card is yours? I have heard this issue is common with the 7000 Build of Windows 7 beta that went public officially... Well Windows 7 is still in a beta stage, so have some patience and the bug will be fixed. Also try to install the latest drivers for your sound card...! All the best...!

Hi!
I have gigabyte motherboard and it has realtek sound card... Windows 7 installed the drivers and when i try to update the drivers from my motherboard CD, it tell me that my driver is already up to date. Now that is frustrating...! Well i even downloaded the latest drivers from the realtek website, but windows 7 won't let me install them manually...! Any other help?

Hey!
I guess you trying to update your driver from device manager...! Well in that case windows 7 will not let you install other drivers as it thinks it has the best performance driver already installed... All you have to do is, navigate to the driver folder and run the setup file...! Make sure you Right-Click and run the setup "As Administrator". This will force install the new driver replacing the older drivers that are already installed...! All the best...!
