Delete the temp folder in Vista?

In VISTA, do I delete the files in the folder:
my name \ Local Settings \ Temp without problem since I always stock 6 gig there?
If yes, is this case is similar to XP, either:
C: \ Documents & Settings, my name \ Local Settings \ Temp?

Yes, the worst that can happen is that a file is in use and Vista is going to propose to ignore it and it will continue to erase the other.

Run > temp , a windows will pop up having temporay files , delete these files.
Run > %temp% ,a windows will pop up having temporay files , delete these files.
Run > prefetch , a windows will pop up having temporay files , delete these files.
