Upgrade Win 2000 to XP: how do I get my programs?

    Hi,

after I've installed XP, all programs are still stored under 2000.
Can I simply copy XP, or should I reinstall everything?
Can I get 2000 with Delete?

Upgrade or a separate installation on its own partition?
Would be better in any case, in addition to installing XP. Because most programs can not simply be copied and must be reinstalled.

You can indeed fun times some of the programs (c: \ Program Files \ [pogrammname] \ *. EXE)

To my knowledge, is a real upgrade, then what works, not provided by MS.

You cannot upgrade Windows 2000 to Windows XP Home Edition, you will have to do a clean install. Windows 2000 can be upgraded to Windows XP professional but not XP Home. Although you cannot upgrade Windows 2000 to XP Home the Windows 2000 CD can be used for proof of previous ownership of a qualifying Windows version, when doing a clean install with an upgrade XP version and when asked for the CD of a previous Windows version insert the
    Windows 2000 cd.
