Hey there...!
I'm not sure but there might be a way... For remote desktop you need a high speed network atleast 100mbs for better rendering of desktop view and a light on resource software. It is not possible to use the windows' inbuilt software as well as Ubuntu's inbuilt one...! You will need a third party software...! Googleup for a while, you'll surely find a solution...!
Hey!

I need a lot of work and lot of storage... but i can't buy a hard disk till next summer... So i use the other computer and network... but somtimes there is the need to remote desktop... Hey!
Use tightVNC it works for cross platform OS... Currently i'm using it to connect it to my Ubuntu 8.04 to Windows XP SP3... If you don't get it working... do post back...! All the best...! Have fun...!
