Error 1609: User is not a valid user or group

I want to install "DarkMatter: Subspace hypersuite" a theme of Alienware. The only problem I see is towards the end of the installation which gives me an error message.

    "Error 1609

An error occurred while applying security settings. User is not a valid user or group. This could be a problem with the package, or a problem connecting to a domain controller on the network.

Check your network connection and click Retry."

If anyone knows the solution to my problem

Run the DOS window (Run -> CMD or COMMAND)
    Type the following:

    net localgroup "Users"/ADD
net localgroup "Users" "tonusername"/ADD (Note: here tonusername is administrator)

    net localgroup "INTERACTIVE"/ADD
net localgroup "INTERACTIVE" "tonusername"/ADD (Note: here tonusername is administrator)

    and you start the installation

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products i.e. Windows Defender. To solve this an updated version of Windows Defender is available. To download the updated version, visit the Microsoft Web site: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pro...r/default.mspx

To complete the installation a Users group must be created. This can be done from Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management and then expanding System Tools > Local Users and Groups > Groups.
Right click Groups and choose New Group, name it "Users".
Or execute the commands "net localgroup Users/add" (as suggested by mv) which will add the Users group.

It will report if the group already exists or it will create the group.
