    how to remove hprbupdate.exe ?

Hello , This File appears periodically and I get a prompt telling me that my hprbUpdate.exe needs to be updated. Can you please tell me if this is something I need to do, I do get a prompt from my security system asking me if I want to continue with the update, but I always deny it access since I don't know if it's safe. When clicked on it disappears and nothing else happens that is noticeable. Could it also be a security problem. I am running a trend internet protection system on vista.

Hello , This is probably HP’s update checking software. They often have this set to automatically check for any new updates for your HP devices. When they update it this will return the type of error you are seeing. I do not know what type of product you have, but I have included a link below that will get you started in the right direction. Just enter the model number of your device and look for the program update.

Hello , it seems to be update software for some HP imaging device -- a camera, scanner, or all-in-one printer, for example. Do you have something like that? If so, I would say that you should either remove the updater or upgrade to the latest version. Also, the ".OCA" part makes no sense

Hello , It's a HP Update service for your printer (probably an AIO, like one of mine?) (AIO stands for All-In-One). This has bothered me too, for quite some time. This popup even made sometimes a full-screen game crash. This problem seems over now, by adjusting some setting. I've set the 1st setting to: don't ask me and go on the web to find if there are updates and the 2nd setting: never check on the web. 1st setting should avoid those popups and the 2nd should disable checking on the web for updates. So far so good; the popup didn't appear again (I changed these settings a couple of days ago).
