Not able copy files in Safe Mode

I am running Windows XP in Safe Mode, I can not copy some files.

I made the manipulation by tapping the F5 key and change criterion in choosing the method windows "normal", then I start a install a file other "windows live messenger." and as I received info that the computer have not saved the file, because I was still in "mode failure.
can someone help me ?

Use regular mode. Then you could copy them by using a bootable floppy in case some files would be in use in DOS or Win mode.

I think you should try this with normal mode.
