OLEAUT32.dll not found

Hello,

As today I started up my PC, I've wanted to start my media player and then came the following error message:

The atomic number 176 in the dynamic link library OLEAUT32.dll "not found

Then I clicked OK, and thought the is an virus or something then I wanted to open Ad-Aware and then came error message:

The procedure entry point VarNot could not be located in the dynamic link library oleaut32.dll

My Real Player opens, but no music plays and it shows no error message.

I can play music AvRack and VLC.

you have either a false or corrupt dll on the system

obtain on the internet ....

For eg: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dl...shtml?oleaut32

or it the same with a new registration attempt

regsvr32.exe dll-name

First, I would with the parameter/u re-register the dll to run to the same again after re-registration.

I did it with the command /u prohibit then comes the message:

DllUnregisterServer in OLEAUT32.dll failed.
Error code: 0x80004005

Go to System Tools, System Information, Tools, System File Checker you will be able to extract any file from the install disk or check all files for missing, corruption or date etc. and replace them.

Hi,

Extract the original file from your XP installation CD. Return to Start / Run sfc to run the program to open. Select the "one file from installation disk extract. Insert the CD into the drive. Copy the Oleaut32.dll into the empty box, and start the process.
