Problem Windows Vista 64 bit slowdown

    Hi all,

Let me explain my problem. I just bought a new config complete pre-installed assembly. So far so good ...

    My config:
Graphics card - Gainward HD 4870 512MB Golden Sample - 512 MB (ATI Radeon HD 4870)
    Motherboard - ASUSTeK M3A79-T Deluxe (AMD 790FX)
    Processor - AMD Phenom X4 940 II Black Edition - 3Ghz
    RAM - Corsair XMS2 DHX 8GB (Kit 4x 2GB) DDR2-SDRAM PC6400 CL5 - TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX
OS - Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Service Pack 1 OEM 64-bit - DVD
    DD 1 - Hard disk SSD - LDLC SSD25SM-64 - SSD 64GB 2.5 "Serial ATA II MLC
    DD2 - HDD ATA - Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 - 1 TB 7200 RPM 32 MB Serial ATA II (bulk)
    other - HP D5160

The problem: at startup, nothing wrong, everything starts very very quickly without worrying ... But once I run a large or a long download which will run all night .. or that I play in a game (like "The Witcher") and I come back on after leaving office as the PC races and I run a browser or another, it is super long, minutes ( 5mn ...), firefox gets no response in the task manager , I gets forced to reboot the system to get hold of it properly.

    Any idea to my pro?

The temperature of your cpu can be the problem... Check if it's 55-60 on idle, . look in your task manager what program eating the most memory, Otherwise reinstall vista, But first uninstall programs , install anti-virus, do tests, install your other programs, do the test ... Good luck

Below can help you speed up your pc:

    1. Click Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools – run Disk Cleanup
    2. Temporarily close Quick Launch:
    3. Right-click on the Taskbar, click Toolbars, deselect Quick Launch
    4. Open My Computer Right-click on C:
    5. Click Properties
    6. Click Tools, select Error Check (check all and fix), when finished click defrag & run.
    7. Click Start, Run ipconfig -renew (type ipconfig space renew)
    8. Restart. Right-click on Taskbar, click Toolbars, select Quick Launch to restore

All these things should be done regularly. The more frequently they are run, the less time they take.

Note: Games and videos are mostly graphics. Graphics create large files. If these suggestions don't help, you might need more memory.
