Use the KDiskFree utility which is shipped with the fedora distribution. Its quite simple to use and you can moun and unmount partitions using the same.
Hey thanks a lot it got my thing working...
but now there are double entries for every FAT and NTFS partitions.
One shows with path like /dev/hda1 and the second entry is show with some numeric code like : UUID=34d233ff-232d-23d4-f4d6-305d6a8e035
Is this an error or something? please help
Nope! that ain't as issue its just different ways of representing the hard-disk partitions. you might have done some configuration to view both methods or so... Don't worry its not an issue or any error problem...
All the best! Have Fun...!
