    ohmy Ubuntu

Problem: I am trying to install Ubuntu server 8.10 on VMware Workstation 6.0.
When I went to setup and pick my operating system, I did not see Ubuntu server;however, I did see Ubuntu/Ubuntu 64.

Testing: I went and tried to pick Ubuntu. It was giving disk read error. Then I said, to myself why not Daemon Tools. I did try Daemon tools ; however, Vmware will not see that.

Solution: I had not come up with one. If there is anyone out there who can help great.

    Re: Ubuntu

Load the ubuntu image in daemon and then select the virtual drive as the physical drive in the VMWare... You will get through...! All the best!

try Burning the ISO image to the DVD and attach the physical drive to VMware, because i understand this would be the right solution to your problem.
