OWA stopped in Exchange 2007

I have joined a company recently and have com accross this OWA issue.It stopped all of a sudden.

As per microsoft I tried deleting the IIS virtual Directories and recreating them ,but to no avail.I am trying to reinstall Exchange.

Please help.I am in serious shit.

Try this one:

right click on the Exchange virtual directory and remove the required ssl session, and see what happens when you access it using HTTP instead of HTTPS.
if no problems occur then it might be a certificate problem, although i dont think so.
if it's not then the IIS tool kit to recreate the exchange virtual directory. may be it was accidentally modified.

This problem happens when accessing OWA from internal and external.
As part of troubleshooting try to remove forms based authentication from OWA and users can access their mailboxes.
