    hi,
When you installed OS X,did you perhaps do a custom install and uncheck "BSD Subsystem"? If you did, you will want to go back and install the BSD Subsystem. It is critical to so many aspects of OS X, I wish that it was not an option to NOT install. it might be installation problem with your opearating system First, check out the troubleshooting steps. Next, perhaps boot to your OS X Full Install CD, select Custom Install, and select "Archive and Install", while checking the box to preserve user settings. This will completely replace your OS X system, but it will not change your user(s) or applications.

One of the drivers controlling the device notified the operating system that the device failed in some manner. On the device Properties dialog box, click the General tab.Click Troubleshoot to start the Troubleshooting Wizard. The wizard asks you some simple questions and provides a solution to your problem based on the answers that you provide. Follow the resolution steps provided by the wizard to resolve the problem. Check the Device status area of the device Properties dialog box to see whether the error is resolved.

When you turn it on, does anything come up on the screen? Then you're good. But when it gets to windows, it stops using the video card altogether?

Have you tried reinstalling the drive?
