ThumbsUp Share some linux GNU softwares

I hope we could share some of our favorite GNU applications for others to see. The latest application that I've been using lately which I really like has to be Miro. Not having any TV for the past 6 months has left me with a bit of a void. Not that I really watched a lot of TV as I really don't like most of whats on. So last week I installed Miro and gave it a whirl.
There's tonnes and tonnes of Linux based shows to watch. Mind you many of them are not much more then a couple of people with camcorders or simply using a screen capture application.
I've also used it to download and watch Canada's CanWest National News pod casts (a major thing I was missing by not having a TV), Ted.com, National Geographic, and Nasa. All of these are 100% legal, and free for watching.
After you install Miro you search for channels (RSS feeds of Pod Casts) and subscribe to them. Miro then downloads new Pod Casts and stores them on your HDD. I configured a small 12 GB partition so Miro could store and manage my videos. After watching a video Miro will keep it for a few days before deleting it to make room for more videos.
